My Dearest Students and Friends,
I am afraid I have the unhappy task of telling you all that our Dearest Ivan has retired. :'(
I am holding his character and things should he ever reconsider. (of which I sincerly hope he does) But until such time as he should choose to return to us all he will be for all purposes... in suspended animation or hibernation. (which ever one suits you better)

PHP Warning on Character Creation

PHP Warning: "curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set"

This happens after you created a character. Do not be alarmed, for it is just a notification that open_basedir is set in kostornrpg.com. It's just a PHP notification and it doesn't affect your gameplay, whatsoever.
Further petitions regarding this problem will be closed.

I know that it may be bad news to some of you, but I'm going to be on vacation. My flight is this evening and I will be far from the site for about two weeks. :( If you have questions about the game, you can ask Headmistress Volstiev (in a kindly manner ;). Woo-hoo! Now the link is shorter and it's easier to memorize. I also added new redirections for The Quibbler and The MySpace page. XD Oh, don't forget to thanks Danielle for all the goodies she gave us. XD
Server Move

Starting this evening EST, I will start downloading the backup of the files and the database for the preparation of the server move to a paid host. On that span of time, Kostorn Academy will be on "Suspended" mode with updates that are going to be posted in the MoTD.
The new server is paid off by Danielle's(owner of ROR RPG) Virtual Private Server, so please say thank you to her when ROR RPG comes back online. :)
UPDATE:
-= Downloading the database backup and uploading the files in the new server
-= Downloading of the database backup was unsuccessful after almost 50 tries due to the slow page load of the MySQL console. This task will be resumed again tonight.

-= The PHPMyAdmin hates me downloading the full DB, so I'm splitting them by tables.
-= SERVER MOVE SUCCESSFUL! The database was transferred without data loss. Now all we have to do is wait for the DNS to take effect, then we can use the domain name: kostornrpg.com
